Tom Hanks Attends Wes Anderson Film Premier

Actor Tom Hanks left many people confused after he and his wife, actress Rita Wilson, were spotted in what appeared to be an argument with a red carpet employee at the premiere for his new film, “Asteroid City”.

The premier took place at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Tuesday evening, 23 May, with several well-known names like actor Jason Schwartzman, actress Scarlett Johansson and actor Steve Carrell in attendance.

The 66-year-old “Forrest Gump” star played a grandfather in the new release directed by Wes Anderson. Set within a desert town in the 1950s, “Asteroid City” has been dubbed as a coming-of-age stargazing film.

However, Hanks and Wilson appeared to have a tense interaction with an unnamed man who was seemingly assisting with the arrival of the star-studded cast, as they were pictured with furrowed brows and making sharp gestures away from each other.

While it’s unclear what the three were arguing about, it didn’t appear to ruin the couple’s night, as they were spotted having a quick flirtatious dance together later on while posing for pictures.

Hank’s co-star, Johansson, seemingly had a great time on the other hand, as she wowed the media in a low-backed pink gown that showed off her back tattoo.
