Travis Scott Returns, Headlining Las Vegas Festival
Travis Scott will join SZA and J Cole at the three-day Day N Vegas music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, which will kick off on 2 September.
This will be Scott’s first festival appearance since the Astroworld tragedy at the NRG Park in Houston, Texas, which took the lives of up to ten fans on 5 November 2021.
The 31-year-old rapper recently performed at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, which was his first televised performance following the incident. Host Sean “Diddy” Combs is said to have pushed to have included Scott in the event.
Scott was scheduled to headline the same Day N Vegas festival last year, but dropped out after the Astroworld tragedy as it took place days before the festival started. He was replaced by Billie Eilish alongside Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, the Creator.
Despite still being entangled in numerous legal battles involving the families of the victims following the incident, life has returned to normal for the artist. He has recently welcomed his second child, a baby boy, with make-up mogul Kylie Jenner this year.
Scott will be drawing the festival to a close on Sunday, 4 September. Other artists appearing on the line-up include Benny the Butcher, 21 Savage, H.E.R., and Jorja Smith among others.
