UEFA Super Cup: Atalanta to Leave Out 6 Players
Midfielder Teun Koopmeiners is one of six players who are unlikely to be part of Atalanta’s line-up that will face Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup final tomorrow, Wednesday 14 August.
Koopmeiners is in the process of being sold to Juventus. However, negotiations between the two clubs have apparently stalled due to a disagreement over his sale fee.
Now, according to reports, the 26-year-old Dutch international is refusing to train with La Dea until the deal with Juventus is finalised, which makes it unlikely that he will be part of tomorrow’s line-up.
Teammate El Bilal Toure is also expected to miss the final at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland, as reports indicate that the Ivorian international has been placed on the transfer market by Atalanta.
Additionally, Nicolo Zaniolo, Rafael Toloi, Giorgio Scalvini and Gianluca Scamacca are all currently out with various injuries.
Doubtlessly, Atalanta will have their work cut out for them when they take on Real Madrid, who boast new signings Kylian Mbappe and Endrick in their line-up.
