Wednesday Gaming – Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars and MORE!

– The critics’ reviews are in, and “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” has been met with a mixed reception. While the storyline has been lambasted by critics for being dull and directionless, praise has been directed at the game’s open world and sound design. Its impressive visuals and immersion also received acclaim. However, critiques are evenly split between the main characters Naoe and Yasuke, with some complimenting their designs, gameplay and motives, while others have critiqued them for the same aspects.
– Based on 71 critic reviews, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” has registered a Metacritic score of 82 for PS5, 84 for Xbox and 77 for PC.
– A “Star Wars” turn-based tactics game developed by EA Games is set to be unveiled on 19 April at Star Wars Celebration 2025, which will be held in Chiba, Japan.
– Two new fighters will join the roster of “Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons” in April 2025. The side-scrolling brawler will introduce Jeff – described as a rival of brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee – and Abore, an ex-soldier.
– A remastered version of the PS1-era platformer, “Croc: Legend of the Gobbos”, is scheduled for release on 2 April 2025. It will include additional trophies and achievements, as well as quality-of-life tweaks such as camera adjustments. The game will be compatible with modern gaming consoles including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.
