Wednesday Gaming – Dr Disrespect Firing, Palworld, MK1 and MORE!

– Game streamer Dr Disrespect, real name Guy Beahm, has been fired from Midnight Society, the game development company he co-founded in 2021, following allegations of misconduct and inappropriate behaviour.

– According to these allegations, Beahm exchanged messages of a sexual nature with a minor and attempted to set up a meeting with them. He publicly denied these claims prior to his firing.

– Edward Kang, a New Jersey gamer, has been arrested for attempted second-degree murder after trying to kill a fellow gamer whom he met via the MMORPG game, “ArcheAge”. After an online dispute between the two, Kang allegedly flew to the victim’s home state of Florida, broke into his home and attacked him with a hammer.

– Takuro Mizobe, the CEO of game development company Pocket Pair, says that they have yet to face any legal action from Nintendo or the Pokémon Company for their game “Palworld”, the creatures of which bear a strong resemblance to those seen in “Pokémon”.

– According to data mined from the game files of “Mortal Kombat 1”, characters such as Noob Saibot, Cyrax and Sektor, along with Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian and T-1000, may be released as DLC in the future.
