Wednesday Gaming – Hearthstone, Immortals of Aveum Delayed and MORE!
Catch up on the latest news, rumours and announcements from the world of video games, tech and entertainment:
– A new Twist ladder mode is replacing Classic mode in “Hearthstone”. According to Blizzard, it will feature “regularly rotating seasons, each with a twist on the rules”, it “can include curated card pools and special rulesets”, and there’s an opportunity to figure out new metas. The beta will be released with Patch 26.6 later this month.
– The launch date of “Immortals of Aveum” has been postponed. Originally set to release on 20 July, it will now be launched on 22 August. Ascendant Studios chalked up the delay to optimisation and final fine-tuning of the first-person shooter.
– PC gamers looking to download the upcoming “Star Wars Outlaws” game will have to download it directly from Ubisoft Connect instead of Steam, as the PC port will be made exclusively available on Connect upon its 2024 release.
– Two classic GameCube games, “Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean” and “Baten Kaitos Origins”, will be released on 14 September for the Nintendo Switch.
