Wednesday Gaming – Lay-Offs, Samurai Jack in MultiVersus and MORE!

Catch up on the latest news, rumours and announcements from the world of video games, tech and entertainment:

– A total of 36 employees have been laid off by video game publisher Humble Games. Several of these employees have claimed that the company is shutting down completely.

– However, according to a statement posted on Twitter/X, Humble Games asserts that they are undergoing “restructuring”, and will maintain “the stability and support” for the developers who currently have agreements with the company.

– A new playable character has been added to the “MultiVersus” roster: Samurai Jack from the eponymous cartoon series. He was released on Tuesday, 23 July, to coincide with the launch of “MultiVersus” Season 2. Beetlejuice will also be added to the roster, reportedly either in August or September.

– A remastered edition of the 2011 action-adventure game, “Shadows of the Damned”, is set to be released for PC on 31 October. According to a trailer, the remaster will feature new costumes and additional “new content” that hasn’t been detailed yet.
