Wednesday Gaming – More Lay-Offs, Pokemon Go, Minecraft and MORE!

– Take-Two Interactive is laying off nearly 600 staff members worldwide in a bid to reduce costs. What’s more, the “Grand Theft Auto” publisher is reportedly set to cancel multiple game projects that are currently in development.
– Between 17 April and 7 May, “Pokemon Go” is rolling out a series of updates as part of its “Rediscover Go” global campaign. Per the official website, the mobile game’s visuals, maps and avatars will be overhauled, plus a revamping of its SnapShot capabilities to allow players to capture up to three Pokemon in a single photo.
– “Minecraft” has teamed up with DreamWorks to release “Kung Fu Panda”-themed DLC. It features characters from the film franchise such as Po, Master Shifu and Tigress, as well as locations such as the Jade Palace and Mr Ping’s noodle restaurant. The DLC is currently available to purchase from the in-game marketplace and requires the latest version of “Minecraft: Bedrock Edition”.
– The dark action RPG, “No Rest for the Wicked”, will be available for early access via Steam on Thursday, 18 April.
