Will City Table Kane’s Record Breaking Bid
Manchester City’s poor start to the 2021/22 Premier League season may force the club to revisit their offer for Tottenham Hotspur forward, Harry Kane.
The Citizens parted ways with their most experienced striker, Sergio Aguero, during the transfer window and are now desperately looking to replace him with another world-class centre forward.
City had already made a £100m bid, which was turned down, as the Spurs believe that Kane is worth more than £120m, a price tag which City hasn’t been eager to honour.
However, the Premier League champions are under pressure after losing their last three games, without scoring a goal.
The reigning champions are reportedly now preparing a £150m bid for Kane, but it’s unclear if Tottenham will accept the offer, as the club’s chairman, Daniel Levy, has shown no interest in selling his star-player.
Kane, who has made his intentions clear that he wants to leave, is reportedly hoping that Man City and Spurs will reach a transfer agreement this week and that the uncertainty about his future will end.
