Carling Knockout: Semi-Final Match-Ups, Dates Confirmed

The Carling Knockout semi-finals are almost here, and the match-ups and dates have been confirmed.

On Sunday, 3 November, the semi-final draw took place following Marumo Gallants’ 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC, and Magesi FC’s 1-0 win against TS Galaxy.

Per the results of the draw, Gallants will take on reigning Premier Soccer League champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, who walloped Kaizer Chiefs 4-0 the previous night, Saturday 2 November.

Meanwhile, Richards Bay – who defeated Cape Town City FC 5-4 on penalties on Saturday – are scheduled to face Magesi.

Considered underdogs, Magesi notoriously pulled off an upset when they dumped Soweto heavyweights, Orlando Pirates, out of the tournament after beating the latter 3-2 in their round of 16 encounter last month.

The Carling Knockout semi-finals will be held over the weekend of 9-10 November. Details regarding the venues and kick-off times will be announced soon.

The final will take place on 23 November at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, Free State.
