Tottenham Trash Aston Villa in 4-1 Triumph

Tottenham Hotspur surged to a 4-1 victory over Aston Villa, putting them within two points of a top-four English Premier League (EPL) spot on Sunday, 3 November.

The match began with Morgan Rogers giving Villa an early lead after 32 minutes when Tottenham’s defence faltered on a corner, with the home team showing creative but ineffective play.

However, Brennan Johnson levelled the score soon after half-time, sparking a spirited comeback. Team-mate Dominic Solanke scored twice for the hosts shortly after, marking his return to form with a clever punt past Emiliano Martinez, followed by a close-range strike from Richarlison’s cross.

Spurs completed the evening’s performance after Solanke’s quick double was followed by James Maddison’s late free-kick in stoppage time, sealing their emphatic win.

Coach Ange Postecoglou’s adjustments paid off, and Spurs have now climbed to seventh on the EPL table with 16 points. Meanwhile, Villa missed the chance to secure third place and remain in sixth with 18 points.
