Coach Praises Kaizer Chiefs’ Rumoured Signing

Kaizer Chiefs have found themselves a “commander” in the form of their latest signing.

If recent reports are anything to go by, Amakhosi have reached an agreement withPetro de Luanda, regarding the signing of the Angolan club’s star defensive midfielder, Inacio Miguel.

The 28-year-old Portuguese international has been praised as a remarkable talent by coach Luis Goncalves, who witnessed his skills firsthand when his team, InterClube, faced Petro de Luanda in the 2023/24 Girabola season.

“Chiefs have found themselves a proper quality in Inacio, and I say this because he played against me,” the Portuguese tactician told a local media outlet on Saturday, 17 August. “Inacio reads the game very well and takes command in being in possession of the ball.

“He knows how to pivot when playing in the opposition half. Plus, he is strong with the head, which makes him effective on set-pieces as well. Chiefs have found themselves a commander in Inacio and will be worth all the trouble that I think they have gone through in signing him.”

Chiefs have yet to confirm Miguel’s signing officially.
