Dave Matthews Band Coming to South Africa

It’s a year of many international tours coming for Mzansi, as the iconic Dave Matthews Band have announced that they will be returning to South Africa (SA).

The seven-man rock band shared the news via an Instagram post on Monday, 5 June, as they reminded fans that it will be “the band’s first performances in SA since 2013.” The group will be promoting their 10th album, “Walk Around the Moon” which was released on 19 March, and debuted at number five on the “Billboard 200” charts.

Fans can expect to find their beloved-band performing at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, Gauteng on 10 December and at the Grand Arena in Cape Town, Western Cape on 12 December.

The American collective are the latest in a long list of well-known artists who’ve announced that they will be touring South Africa this year.

Music lovers have been treated to the Backstreet Boys who graced the stage in mid-May, as well as FKJ later this month, Tamia in July, Boyz II Men in October, Bryan Adams in November, and several more international artists who are on their way.

Pre-sale tickets for the Dave Matthews Band performances will be available on Wednesday, 7 June, while tickets will officially go on sale on Friday, 9 June.
