Everton Appoints Frank Lampard as New Manager
Everton has announced the appointment of Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard, as their new manager on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
The newly appointed boss has already started putting together his coaching team, alongside the club’s current assistant manager, Paul Clement.
Lampard also wants the team’s caretaker, Duncan Ferguson, to remain at Goodison Park, despite being linked with a managerial position at Sunderland.
Just a few hours into his new role, the 43-year-old tactician is already closing in on a deal to sign Manchester United midfielder, Donny van de Beek, on loan until the end of the season.
The transfer window is closing today, 31 January, and Lampard is now running around, trying to close a few deals before the end of the day.
Lampard has been linked with various late moves, including securing the services of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli, Idrissa Gana Gueye, and Chelsea starlet, Billy Gilmour.
