Ex-Chiefs Stars Spotted at Gallants

Two former Kaizer Chiefs players are reportedly undergoing trials at Marumo Gallants.

According to reports, Kgotso Moleko and Kamohelo Mahlatsi are among several potential players who are being assessed by Gallants. Should one or both of them succeed, they will have a chance to be officially signed to the Bloemfontein-based outfit for the upcoming season.

One local sports news outlet states that Moleko – who played as a defender for Chiefs from 2012 to 2021 – is “hoping to get back to action after being unattached for 12 months following his departure from Maritzburg United at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.”

As for Mahlatsi, who plied his trade at Amakhosi from 2022 to 2024, the attacking midfielder is hoping to get some more game-time under his belt following a disappointing season at Chippa United.

“Mahlatsi … was with Chippa United in the second half of the 2023/24 season,” the same outlet reports. “Despite battling injuries, he managed 11 appearances in a space of four months. However, Chippa opted not to activate the one-year option on his contract.”
