Fans Divided Over Nasty C’s Right Hook

Mzansi rapper Nasty C is catching a lot of attention online after he assaulted a fan who jumped on stage with him on Saturday night, 9 September.

Nsikayesizwe Ngcobo, who is known professionally as Nasty C, was performing during the Zambian leg of his joint “African Throne World Tour” with Cassper Nyovest, when a fan scrambled up on stage and began dancing next to him.

The 26-year-old “Crazy Crazy” artist responded by punching and kicking the fan until security intervened; the whole interaction was caught on video and shared online.

Social media users have been split and have taken to Twitter to debate the point, with some saying Ngcobo’s actions were understandable, while others feel like it was an overreaction due to his inflated ego.

“AKA got gunned down just like that and people think artists should go around hugging strangers when they feel threatened,” one user named “The Instigator” commented on the video, which was shared via Twitter the next day.

“The guy had his arms open trying to hug him, does that show a threat?” Tyler Syd replied.

Meanwhile, someone claiming to be the adventurous fan has posted a video to Facebook, purportedly acknowledging that he was in the wrong and apologising for his actions.
