Nollywood actress Ini Edo has announced the passing of her father, sharing her grief with fans in an emotional Instagram post on Monday, 24 February.

The actress described her late father as her “greatest cheerleader” and “first love”, expressing how difficult it was to come to terms with the loss. She also found solace in believing that “the heavens have gained an angel”, stating that he would always remain in her heart.

Following her announcement, an outpouring of condolences flooded her social media, with fans, friends and fellow actors offering words of support.

Notable figures in the entertainment industry, including Omoni Oboli, Linda Osifo, Jackie Appiah, Uche Elendu and Rita Dominic, sent heartfelt messages, offering prayers and comfort during this difficult time.
