Jeremy Renner Returns to the Red Carpet
Jeremy Renner attended his first red carpet event since his brutal snowplough accident, with his daughter, a cane and a scooter by his side.
The 52-year-old actor took his place at the premiere of his new Disney+ show – “Rennervations” – in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday night, 11 April, nearly three and a half months after he broke around 35 bones in his body.
Despite only recently returning to the public eye, Renner was all smiles as he scooted around to chat to the reporters with his family watching on proudly.
According to recent interviews, the “Hawkeye” star was helping his nephew, Alex Fries, with a stuck car on 1 January 2023 when he saw that the snowplough that they were using – which is said to weigh at least 6.5 tonnes – was dangerously close to crushing Fries against the car.
Renner revealed that he had attempted to jump back into the moving machine to stop it but was pulled under the icey wheels outside his home in Reno, Nevada.
“[I felt] all of [the pain],” the actor said in one interview before adding: “I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I’ve been refuelled and refilled with love and titanium.”
