Kaizer Chiefs Narrowly Beat Magesi FC 1-0

Forwards Ashley Du Preez and Glody Makabi Lilepo were the heroes of the football match, helping Kaizer Chiefs secure a 1-0 win over Magesi FC on Tuesday, 4 March.
Playing at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, Gauteng, Chiefs were kept on their toes throughout the first half – even with 67% possession of the ball – by the Limpopo outfit.
The second half followed the same pattern as the first, with both teams preventing each other from scoring.
The Soweto giants’ fortunes changed in the 69th minute when substitute Du Preez – who had just come off the bench for Ranga Chivaviro a minute earlier – intercepted a pass from Lilepo and successfully netted a close-range shot.
In the end, Amakhosi walked away with a 1-0 victory. Additionally, Lilepo’s performance on the pitch earned him the “Man of the Match” award.
As a result, Kaizer Chiefs are sitting in eighth place on the Premier Soccer League rankings with 28 points. As for Magesi, they are currently in the relegation zone, wallowing in 15th place with 17 points.
