Late Riky Rick’s Wife is “Inconsolable”

The family of Riky Rick has opened up on the wellbeing of the rapper’s wife following his tragic passing.

Heartbroken fans continue to be in mourning for Rick – real name Rikhado Makhado – who passed away on Wednesday, 23 February at the age of 34.

The cause of death has not been confirmed, although the “Nafukwa” rapper was previously vocal about dealing with chronic depression. Combined with the last tweet he made early that morning – “I’ll return a stronger man. This land is still my home” – it’s suspected that he took his own life.

Speaking to a local media outlet on Friday, 25 February, family spokesperson Sheikani Makhado revealed that Rick’s wife of nine years, Bianca Naidoo, is taking his death the hardest.

“Our brother’s wife Bianca is inconsolable,” he said. “We can’t dispute the fact that we shared him with the rest of the world and we are appreciative of the messages of support we have been getting.”

Rick is survived by Naidoo, their two children, his five siblings and his mother. They have asked for privacy as they prepare the arrangements for his memorial and funeral services.
