Meta (Temporarily) Bans Ye From Instagram
Ye has been banned from Instagram for 24 hours, no thanks to some eyebrow-raising posts that he made.
On Wednesday, 16 March, Meta – formerly known as Facebook, Inc. – announced that it was suspending the artist formerly known as Kanye West from Instagram for violating its policies related to hate speech, bullying and harassment.
For the past few weeks, the 44-year-old “Heartless” rapper has made (and deleted) controversial posts aimed at several celebs, notably including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend, comedian Pete Davidson.
Some posts saw Ye accusing Kardashian of not letting him see their four children, to which she responded to one such post, “Please stop with this narrative, you were just here this morning picking up the kids for school.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Ye posted a photo of comedian Trevor Noah and captioned it with racial slurs – the attack comes after Noah criticised Ye about his continuously harassing Kardashian in a segment on “The Daily Show”.
Doubtlessly, fans are waiting with bated breath for Ye’s next move if and when he returns to the social media platform.
