Mila Kunis And Ashton Kutcher “Stand With Ukraine”

Celebrities from across the globe are showing their support for Ukraine by making their voices heard, and Mila Kunis with her husband, actor Ashton Kutcher, are adding theirs to the choir.

The 38-year-old actress – who was born in Chernivtsi, then part of the Ukrainian Soviet Union Republic – launched a “Stand With Ukraine” GoFundMe campaign last Thursday, 3 March.

In an Instagram video posted that same day, Kunis, along with Kutcher, announced that the goal of their initiative was to raise $30 million for Flexport.org and AirBnB: the former organises aid delivery to the affected region, while the latter provides free lodging for those displaced by the conflict.

“Ukrainians are proud and brave people who deserve our help in their time of need,” declared Kunis.

The Hollywood power couple vowed to match up to $3 million for the total tally which would “provide an immediate impact on refugee and humanitarian aid efforts.”

To date, the fundraiser has accumulated close to $3.4 million in donations.

According to official UN stats, over a million people – half of which consisted of children – had fled the war, which started on 24 February.
