Mokwena “Already Employed” After Sundowns Sacking
Following his shock exit from Mamelodi Sundowns, Rhulani Mokwena has already landed a new coaching job with another outfit.
Despite helping Sundowns secure their seventh successive Premier Soccer League title last season, among other achievements, Mokwena was abruptly sacked earlier this week after apparently failing to meet the club’s set targets. However, differences between the two parties have also been reported as the reason for his firing.
In a recent interview with Robert Marawa on Radio 947, the 37-year-old tactician revealed that he has already found himself a temporary job: coaching Black Poison FC, an amateur club that he owns.
“I’m already employed, I’m gonna coach Black Poison now for the next few weeks,” he told Marawa. “Hopefully, I can revitalise myself, and I can [regain my] passion for football and for coaching because I’ve lost it a little bit.
“Maybe going back [to] where everything started, that will reignite something.”
Here’s hoping Mokwena finds his passion for coaching once again, and returns to the big leagues in the near future!
