PSG Eyeing Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly set their sights on struggling Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku.
Last August, the 28-year-old Belgian re-joined his old club from Inter Milan for £97.5 million. Four months later, he was embroiled in controversy when he not only questioned coach Thomas Tuchel’s methods, but also reiterated his desire to return to Inter Milan during an interview.
Since then, Lukaku’s form on the pitch – once sterling and acclaimed – has been somewhat sloppy, and he has only scored five goals during the current English Premier League season.
Now, according to reports, PSG are looking to sign a new striker in the summer to replace Real Madrid-bound player Kylian Mbappe, and Lukaku has caught their eye.
The French club is said to be in talks with the Belgian’s agent, Mino Raiola, for his client’s services.
Lukaku’s deal with Chelsea expires in 2026, although the English outfit could possibly loan him out with an option to buy.
