Rema Stuns at Rolling Stone Concert After Historic Cover

Nigerian music sensation Rema delivered a show-stopping performance at the Rolling Stone concert, following his groundbreaking achievement as the first African artist to grace the magazine’s cover.

The Afrobeats star – privately known as Divine Ikubor – took to the stage in Austin, Texas, with electrifying energy, thrilling the audience with hits such as “Dumebi”, “Woman” and “Calm Down” on Friday, 14 March.

His performance reinforced his reputation as a dynamic performer and a key figure in the international rise of African talent.

The 25-year-old singer’s Rolling Stone cover feature is a significant milestone, further solidifying his status as a pioneer of African music on the global stage. The recognition follows the record-breaking success of his track “Calm Down”, which became the most streamed Afrobeats song in history and earned him a Guinness World Record.

Rema has continued to make history, becoming the first African artist to perform at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in 2023, and he is now directing his attention toward his “HEIS” tour, which will see him headline major venues across North America, Europe, and Asia this year.
