Slot Feels Pressure Ahead of Liverpool-PSG Clash

Liverpool head coach, Arne Slot, is feeling restless ahead of the club’s UEFA Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) tonight, Tuesday 11 March.

The Reds will host their last-16 second leg game at Anfield in Liverpool, England. With the advantage of playing at home, plus their position at the top of the English Premier League, they are favoured to secure a victory against PSG.

However, during a pre-match press conference held on Monday, 10 March, Slot acknowledged that Les Parisiens should not be underestimated.

“If you have a game [against PSG] like we did last week, you feel like, ‘Can I even go to sleep at all? Or do I have to watch even more?’” he said. “So no, I do not dream at all at the moment about this week.”

The 46-year-old Dutch tactician continued: “This is the most complete team we’ve faced so far. Of course, we have played Arsenal, [Real Madrid and] Man City, but the quality PSG have … they have so much quality with a great coach [Luis Enrique]. He lets them play in a way that is not easy to play against.”

All Liverpool can do, said Slot, is to “be at our best” tonight. For his sake, here’s hoping the Reds will prevail over PSG!
