Stellenbosch FC Sign Hotshot Duo

Stellenbosch FC have acquired two new players ahead of the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League season.

Following Stellies’ 0-0 draw with the recently relegated Cape Town Spurs on Saturday, 24 May, head coach Steve Barker confirmed the signing of defender Siviwe Nkwali and striker Muzomuhle “Muzi” Khanyi in a post-match press conference.

“We are a team that is proactive. You may have seen in the news recently: we have already signed Nkwali from Cape Town Spurs and Muzi from Hungry Lions,” said Barker. “We are in the market to beef up where we feel we need to.”

Nkwali joined Spurs’ senior squad in late 2024 after spending seven years at their training academy. He was also part of the South African youth soccer team that won the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations championship earlier this month.

As for Khanyi, he played for Hungry Lions in the second-tier Motsepe Foundation Championship, where he finished the 2024/25 season as the league’s top scorer with 18 goals to his name.

Details regarding the duo’s salaries and contract lengths remain unknown.
