3 Tips for a Healthy Relationship
Sometimes, no matter how much you love your partner, maintaining a relationship can be hard work.
Here are three tips to help you work towards a long-lasting, healthy and loving romantic relationship:
Look for Positives
Spend a week looking for only positive things about your partner, and ignoring the negatives. This changes the way you view your partner’s words, behaviour and intentions.
Be Grateful
Don’t forget to show your partner that you are grateful for them, and that you appreciate who they are and everything that they do for you.
Reflect on why you appreciate having your partner in your life, or what you would miss most if he or she were not in your life. Then, spend some time saying “Thank you” and letting your partner know that you value them.
Love Yourself
The relationship that you have with yourself is the foundation of the relationship that you have with others.
To improve your relationship with yourself – as well as your self-esteem – start by identifying at least one thing you like about yourself, or one thing you’re good at doing. Then, look for other things from that starting point.
