Allan Exits Everton

Al-Wahda made the unexpected announcement on Sunday, 25 September, that they have signed Everton’s former midfielder, Allan Marques Loureiro, for two seasons.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) club welcomed the 31-year-old to their club via their official Twitter account, informing the rest of the world at the same time.

A separate tweet from the Dubai-based team said: “The club’s board of directors welcomed the player “Allan” to the home of the champions, wishing him success during his career with the team.”

While it’s still unclear how much Al-Wahda paid for the midfielder, known professionally as just “Allan”, it is known that he originally joined Everton for an estimated £21.7 million in 2020.

The Brazilian will be joining the UAE Pro League just in time for the two-week international football break to come to an end this weekend. Their first match will be against Al Bataeh on Sunday, 2 October, at the local Ittihad Kalba Stadium in Sharjah.

Everton are yet to respond to the news publicly however, it seems unlikely that they will be too torn up as the English club had yet to feature Allan during any of their Premier League games this season.
