Arnold Schwarzenegger Donates 25 Houses to Veterans
Arnold Schwarzenegger gifted US veterans special Christmas gifts they will certainly never forget: new homes to call their own.
Recently, the 74-year-old actor/politician spoke about his good deed on Twitter, which saw him providing 25 houses – altogether worth $250 000 – to retired, homeless service members in Los Angeles, California.
He wrote: “It was fantastic to spend some time with our heroes and welcome them into their new homes.”
Schwarzenegger collaborated with Village for Vets and AMVETS, both of which supports at-risk veterans, to pull off the stunning donation.
Thanking them, he added: “We proved that when we all work together, we can solve any problem.”
Village for Vets said in a statement: “The tiny shelter project to which [former governor] Schwarzenegger so generously donated … is designed to be a transitional respite for homeless Veterans [sic] between living on the street and entering a higher level of care – ultimately permanent housing.”
