Brighton Outfox Liverpool at Home

Liverpool have been left scratching their heads after Brighton and Hove Albion won 1-0 at Anfield on Wednesday night, 3 February.

The Reds haven’t had much luck with consistency lately, and Jurgen Klopp’s team displayed a tired performance throughout the whole match.

As a result, the Seagulls took advantage of this and managed to pile on the pressure, which eventually paid off at the 56th minute with a goal from Albion midfielder, Steven Alzate.

The home-side was unable to respond in time, and ultimately lost their third game at Anfield, further dashing their chances for another English Premier League title as they slid further down the league table.

After the game, Klopp said: “It was a tough week and today we were not fresh enough, and that means then not good enough to break the formation of Brighton.”

Liverpool are currently in fourth place with 40 points on the table, with Manchester City at the top spot with 47 points.
