Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C Cancel Their Performance at Last Minute
Rappers Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C left their Durban fans standing in the rain when they cancelled their performance at the very last minute on Saturday, 30 September.
The pair were expected to appear on stage in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal but the weather had other plans. According to reports, the concert was already underway, with artists like Zakwe, Duncan, Dream Team and Asvnte hyping up the crowd before the two headliners were scheduled to appear.
However, the performance reportedly ground to a halt due to sound and lighting issues, leaving many fans disgruntled.
“Durban we are really sorry that we weren’t able to perform today,” Nyovest and Nasty C both said in an identical message shared on Instagram the following day. “The sound desk got damaged due to rain and after a number of attempts to try and recover the sound we had to make the tough decision of cancelling the show,” they added.
Despite the two rappers saying that they were looking to remedy the situation, many fans simply felt they deserved better.
“Not cool guys …” Sizwe Mashiyana commented on the post with a series of downed thumb emojis. “WHY DID YALL NOT COMMUNICATE THAT ???? YALL just left us in the rain, [sic]” he added.
Another fan expressed their disappointment by sharing that they had come all the way from Uganda to catch the show.
