Celeb Twitter Round-Up: Gigi Lamayne Mourns Death of YBK

Gigi Lamayne is heartbroken following the sudden passing of her partner, Liberty “YBK” Mhlanga.

On Tuesday, 15 August, the 30-year-old rapper posted this to her Instagram account:

“Forever you, my babe,” the caption reads. “Forever us. @ybkvision We had our whole lives ahead of us. I’m in pain. Liberty. We were so close to writing this story. Your last post … could you feel it somehow? We were grown and ready. Why God? Mina Angsazi [sic]”. Let your will be done.”

YBK (also known as Vision, and for starring in the Vuzu TV series, “Rich Kids”) happened to share this post this to his own Instagram on Monday, 14 August – while the caption reads as romantic at first, prompting Lamayne to share her love in the comments, his words seem eerily ominous in hindsight:

“Ride or die wish I had noticed sooner wanna spend the rest of my life with you [sic],” the full caption reads. ““Gigi: The Ciara template worked y’all. 10 + years of friendship. Nothing can deter me from my happy ever after with you. To slaying dragons and Caprinhas in Miami I love you king. I choose you. #GoneGirl [sic].”
