Chelsea Eye Historic UEFA Conference League Victory

Chelsea will face Real Betis in the UEFA Conference League final tonight, Wednesday 28 May, in Wroclaw, Poland, as they aim to make history.

A win would see the Blues become the first club to claim all major European trophies. With UEFA Champions League qualification already secured, the pressure is off, but a trophy would cap an impressive debut season under Enzo Maresca.

Betis, who finished sixth in the La Liga competition, are no push-overs: Manager Manuel Pellegrini has assembled a solid team, with experienced players like Isco and Antony capable of posing a challenge for the English side.

Former Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, has warned the Blues to be cautious, noting their opponents’ competitive edge: “I think Betis can compete … I think it’s going to be a good final.”

Maresca faces a key decision in midfield, with Moises Caicedo tipped to play a pivotal role in containing Isco’s influence. Chelsea have dominated in the Conference League this season, but Betis will offer stern competition.

With a strong finish to the English Premier League season, Chelsea will look to extend their momentum and secure silverware. The final promises to be an exciting clash as both teams aim to add a European trophy to their cabinet.
