Coutinho Reunites with Gerrard at Aston Villa
Aston Villa manager, Steven Gerrard, has brought back Barcelona midfielder, Philippe Coutinho, to the Premier League on loan until the end of the season.
Coutinho played under the captaincy of Gerrard for two-and-a-half years at Anfield, and is now reportedly happy to be reunited with the current Aston Villa manager.
The Brazilian has been longing to return and play normal English football, and although this time not with Liverpool, the midfielder is still keen as he views Villa as an ambitious club with potential growth.
The loan deal is expected to be finalised within the next 48-hours once the player completes the required medicals and receives a work permit.
Liverpool fans had named Coutinho as the “little magician”, but Gerrard has just given him a new special nickname, the “serial winner”.
The pair are set to continue their unique relationship at Villa Park.
