Ex-Chiefs Star Spotted at AmaZulu FC
Looks like former Kaizer Chiefs player, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, has found a new club to play for.
The 32-year-old defender – who joined the Glamour Boys from Mamelodi Sundowns in 2016 – was let go by the club when his contract expired last month.
Now, it appears that he has signed for another Premier League Soccer outfit: AmaZulu FC.
Mphahlele was spotted during AmaZulu’s KwaZulu-Natal Premier’s Cup match against Golden Arrows on Sunday morning, 31 July. Per reports, he came off the bench as a substitute for centre-back Sandile Khumalo in the 71st minute.
His resurfacing at Usuthu comes after rumours swirled for weeks that he – alongside his former Chiefs team-mate, Bernard Parker – was on trial at SuperSport United.
AmaZulu has yet to unveil Mphahlele as an official signing. As for the defender himself, he has neither confirmed nor denied if it was just a one-off appearance. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
