Jack Grealish Vows to Bounce Back After England Euro 2024 Snub
Jack Grealish has openly expressed his heartbreak after being left out of England’s Euro 2024 squad, calling it the most challenging moment of his career.
Despite playing key roles in England’s recent campaigns, including Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup, Grealish’s form at Manchester City led to his omission from coach Gareth Southgate’s final squad.
Reflecting on the experience in a press conference on Tuesday, 30 July, the 28-year-old footballer admitted that watching England come close to victory from afar was painful, especially as he had been a part of previous successes. However, he is determined to use this setback as fuel for the upcoming season.
The winger acknowledged that his first season at City fell short of expectations but highlighted his improvement in the subsequent season as proof of his ability to bounce back. With no international commitments this summer, Grealish is using the extra time to regain fitness and confidence and start the 2024-25 season in peak form.
As he looks to build on City’s recent successes, including multiple domestic and international titles, Grealish is focused on proving his worth and re-establishing himself as a crucial player for both club and country.
