Joe Jonas Denies Sophie Turner’s Abduction Accusations
Joe Jonas has broken his silence regarding his soon-to-be-ex-wife Sophie Turner’s claims that he “abducted” their children.
Earlier this month, the American musician – who shares two infant daughters with Turner – filed for divorce from the 27-year-old “Game of Thrones” actress at a court in Miami, Florida, citing “irreconcilable differences” after four years of marriage.
Now, Turner is suing Jonas, whom she claims is blocking her from taking their children to her native England, where she plans to raise them. She’s even gone as far as to accuse the 34-year-old “Hesitate” hitmaker of “abducting” them.
In response to her claims, a representative for Jonas spoke to a US media outlet on Thursday, 21 September.
“This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending,” the rep declared. “The children were not abducted. After being in Joe’s care for the past three months at the agreement of both parties, the children are currently with their mother. Sophie is making this claim only to move the divorce proceedings to the UK and to remove the children from the US permanently.”
Turner has yet to comment on Jonas’ counter-claim.
