Nota Baloyi Goes to Jail for 60 Days

Nota Baloyi is set to spend two months in prison.

Back in February 2023, the controversial music executive accused rapper K.O of being involved in the murder of fellow hip hop artist, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. In response, K.O secured a court order against Baloyi.

Despite this, Baloyi persisted in defaming the “Thatha” hitmaker on social media. Consequently, in March 2023, he was found guilty of contempt of court and sentenced to 60 days in jail. He was absent during the sentencing and has managed to avoid serving time until now.

On Thursday, 7 November, Baloyi appeared at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court in Gauteng in connection with an unrelated rape charge. There, he was arrested by police officers and taken into custody.

Per reports, Baloyi’s sentence begins immediately, and he will remain behind bars at Leeuwkop Prison in Johannesburg’s Sandton suburb.
