PSL Returns with Bucs-Sundowns Clash

With all the excitement of the FIFA World Cup behind us, teams in the DStv Premiership are looking to the future.

The PSL excitement kicks off this Friday, 30th December, at Loftus, where the Mamelodi Sundowns will go head-to-head with the Orlando Pirates.

Sundowns are going into the fray on top of the log while the Bucs are trailing behind in fifth place.

Pirates are likely to be cruising on their high from winning the MTN8 final against Amazulu in November, under the leadership of Spaniard Jose Riveiro.

The Brazilians underwent a coaching reshuffle in October, when Rulani Mokwena was elevated to head coach.

If the Sundowners win this match, it will be their seventh consecutive league victory, while Pirates are likely out for revenge – they were embarrassed 4-0 by Sundowns in the final of the friendly Carling Black Label Cup in November.
