Salah Rules Out Barcelona Transfer
Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah, has responded to Barcelona transfer rumours by reiterating his desire to remain at Liverpool, although loving the attention of being linked to Camp Nou.
The 29-year-old’s current contract with The Reds expires in June 2023 and the Merseyside club is willing to extend it.
However, there seem to be issues surrounding the financial agreement between the player’s management and Liverpool – as Salah told the tabloids that he awaits the club and his agent to come to an agreement.
Salah said: “I read what was said about Xavi’s interest to sign me. This is something that makes me happy that a team like Barcelona is interested in me, but I’m happy in Liverpool.”
He added: “I said it several times, if the decision is up to me, I want to stay in Liverpool, but the decision is in the hands of the management and they have to solve this issue. It’s up to them.”
Per reports, Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in acquiring the services of the Liverpool attacker.
