Tottenham Wants to Bring Gini Wijnaldum Back to EPL
Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly on the verge of sealing a deal that might see former Liverpool midfielder, Georginio Wijnaldum, returning to the Premier League at the end of the transfer window.
PSG are interested in signing Tanguy Ndombele, and so the midfielders could trade clubs, with the out-of-favour French international moving to PSG while the out-of-form, Wijnaldum, joins the Spurs.
Spurs boss, Antonio Conte, plans to bolster his squad, but with funds tight, the 52-year-old tactician has had to find creative ways, including swaps and loan deals.
Wijnaldum officially left Anfield in July 2021 to join PSG, but has failed to find form and secure a spot in the starting XI.
The Dutchman only got to play 24 matches under Mauricio Pochettino, in which he managed to score three goals and make two assists.
Wijnaldum’s form challenges could be as a result of a position change – having moved from right to left midfielder, something that may not suit his gameplay.
Therefore, the midfielder has expressed his desire to return to EPL.
