Watch Out, Mzansi! The Backstreet Boys Are on Their Way

It looks like 2023 will be filled with star-studded performances for Mzansi, as American boy band, Backstreet Boys, have just revealed that they’ll be heading to South Africa for the first time.

The 90’s vocal group – comprised of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson – shared the exciting news via their official website on Sunday, 19 February.

A local ticket sales outlet announced this morning, Monday, 20 February, that tickets will officially be on sale for the events as of Friday, 24 February. Pre-sale tickets will be available from Wednesday, 22 February.

The “I Want It That Way” hitmakers will be partaking on a global tour named after their Grammy-nominated 10th studio album, “DNA”, and when they say, “global”, they mean it. The Backstreet Boys have announced that they’ll be performing all over North America, Europe, Asia, South America – and now, Africa.

The Mzansi portion of the tour will take place on 16 May at Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town, Western Cape and on 19 May at SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria, Gauteng.

As they prepare for the tour, the band will be chronicling their journey in a docuseries on Youtube, with the first five episodes already available.
