– Following the account-hacking incident at the recent “Apex Legends” gaming tournament, developers Respawn Entertainment have released a statement. In it, they declared that they are introducing a series of safety updates to “protect the ‘Apex Legends’ community and create a secure experience for everyone.”
– Roblox Corporation is introducing two new AI tools that will aid content creators in creating 3D models: per a press release, Avatar Auto Setup will “automatically rig, cage, segment and skin 3D models”, while the Texture Generator “allows you to create custom textures for your meshes using natural language prompts.”
– “Destiny 2” is getting a Horde mode, in which players must defend themselves against 10-to-50 waves of Witness’ Black Fleet forces. The new mode will form part of the “Into The Light” update, which will arrive on 9 April 2024.
– Following her departure from Sony last year, former PlayStation executive, Connie Booth, has joined EA Games as its Group Manager (Action RPG). She will oversee studios such as EA Motive, Cliffhanger and BioWare.
