Wednesday Gaming – Fortnite OG Mode, Ubisoft Lawsuit, Baldur’s Gate 3 and MORE!

– The original version of “Fortnite” will be making a comeback as a permanent game mode on 6 December 2024. According to a tweet from Epic Games: “Relive Battle Royale from the start and explore the OG map, collect OG loot and relive OG seasons.”

– Two gamers are suing Ubisoft for shutting down its open-world racing game, “The Crew”, back in March. Per the lawsuit, the plaintiffs (who own physical copies of the game) believed that they were “paying to own and possess the video game ‘The Crew’ instead of paying for a limited licence to use ‘The Crew.’”

– Hideaki Itsuno, the renowned former director of the “Devil May Cry” and “Dragon’s Dogma” series, has joined LightSpeed Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent Games. After working at Capcom for over 30 years, Itsuno says he is looking “forward to creating original AAA action game titles together with the amazing team, and building aesthetic and innovative experiences for the global player community.”

– Michael Douse, the publishing director at Larian Studios, has reported that two copies of “Baldur’s Gate 3” were bought by individuals residing in the Vatican, while another person in the Holy See has added the game to their wishlist.
