Wednesday Gaming – Sims 5, Stars Wars, Amber Heard’s Mercy Cosplay and MORE!

– According to EA Games, the next instalment in the “Sims” franchise – temporarily titled “Project Rene” (or “The Sims 5”, as dubbed by fans) – will be free-to-play, will include tons of features in the base game at launch, and that users will receive free updates. On the other side of the coin, it will likely also receive the same purchasable expansion and stuff pack treatment like its predecessors.
– “Broken Roads”, a narrative-driven RPG, has finally got a release date. According to developer Drop Bear Bytes, it will be released on 14 November for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
– Director Shawn Levy says that he is expected to work on “Deadpool 3” and an upcoming “Star Wars” film once the current Hollywood actor and writers’ strike is over.
– For what it’s worth, a biography about Elon Musk has revealed that Musk’s ex-partner, actress Amber Heard, once cosplayed as Mercy from “Overwatch”.
– According to biographer Walter Isaacson, Musk told Heard – whom he dated on-off between 2017 and 2018 – that she bore a resemblance to Mercy, his favourite “Overwatch” character. Heard apparently spent two months putting together a Mercy cosplay before roleplaying for him.
