Young Thug, Gunna Indicted on Gang-Related Charges
Young Thug and Gunna have been indicted on charges of murder, racketeering and armed robbery.
The two rappers are among 28 others allegedly associated with Young Slime Life (YSL), a Bloods-affiliated criminal gang, who have been indicted on 56 charges in Fulton County, Georgia.
Young Thug – real name Jeffery Williams – was arrested at his home in Atlanta and booked into Fulton County Jail on Monday, 9 May: per reports, he was charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisations (RICO) Act, as well as with participation in criminal street gang activity.
He also stands accused of renting a car that was used in the 2015 homicide of 26-year-old Donovan Thomas that also saw two others wounded in the drive-by shooting allegedly orchestrated by the YSL.
Gunna – real name Sergio Kitchens – was charged with one count of conspiring to violate the RICO Act, and for seemingly promoting the YSL in Lil Keed’s 2020 music video, “Fox 5”.
Young Thug is set to appear in court this morning, Tuesday 10 May. Presumably, Gunna will also appear in court in the near future.
