AKA Celebrates His Birthday in Style

Hip Hop icon Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, known professionally as AKA, celebrated his 35th birthday with a bang on Saturday, 28 January.

The star kicked off the day with his 7-year-old daughter, Kairo Owethu Forbes, and a decadent-looking homemade chocolate cake, which he posted to Twitter.

Television personality Nadia Nakai, AKA’s girlfriend, also showered the “Lemons” hitmaker with affection on Instagram.

She captioned a photo of the pair with: “Happy Birthday my baby! I love you so much!! You protect me so much! And lift me up… I learn so much from you every day!!!! And have theeee [sic] most fun with you!!! I’m so proud of you!!!!! You’re my blessing!”

This year marks the second birthday the two will be celebrating together.

However, the rapper didn’t just have a quiet night at home planned. As the sun went down, the two lovers headed to Propaganda nightclub in Pretoria, Gauteng, where AKA celebrated by giving a live performance as part of his birthday tour.

DJ Master P shared a clip in the early hours of Sunday morning, 29 January, of the birthday boy biting into a gold cake without using his hands. “Happy birthday @akaworldwide. What a night,” the deejay said.
