AmaZulu Sacks Coach Brandon Truter

AmaZulu FC have decided to sack coach Brandon Truter after a five-month spell at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

On Thursday, 6 October, the club tweeted out a statement, announcing that it had “parted ways” with the 52-year-old following a poor start to the season.

“He impressed since taking over the reins following the departure of Benni McCarthy in March,” the statement reads before taking a slightly brutal turn. “However, the current season has proved to be difficult and the team has recorded just three DStv Premiership wins. Truter’s record is as follows: 19 games, seven wins, seven draws and five losses.

“We thank him for his co-operation and hard work for the club and wish him luck in his future career.”

AmaZulu are scheduled to play Orlando Pirates next Friday, 14 October. Truter’s assistants will manage the team until a new head coach is selected – until then, here’s hoping they will lead Usuthu to victory.
