AmaZulu Star on Kaizer Chiefs’ Radar
Kaizer Chiefs have set their sights on AmaZulu FC attacking midfielder, Sphesihle Maduna.
That’s according to AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu, who was recently interviewed by a local media outlet.
“Kaizer Chiefs did talk to us some time ago,” Zungu revealed. “It’s just one of the parties that contacted us about Maduna.”
Despite Amakhosi’s interest in 23-year-old Maduna, who is known for his prowess on the pitch yet has been constantly hampered by injuries, Zungu added that he won’t be leaving Usuthu
just yet.
“He’s [been] our player for quite some time. He signed a new contract two seasons ago. I hear people saying he’s going [at the] end of this season. He’s got another season with us.”
Maduna’s contract expires in June 2024. However, with the July transfer window looming, AmaZulu could consider offloading him to another club provided they receive a really good offer for him, or at least loan him out for a certain period of time.
